Interior PS Dr. Raymond Omollo on Monday, September 4th met Antha Williams, Head of Environment, Bloomberg Philanthropies in Nairobi to further Kenya’s partnership with the body that has invested in 700 cities and 150 countries around the world.
Kenya is keen on partnerships in key areas of societal growth and development including Arts and Education, Environment, Government Innovation, Public Health, and Women’s Economic Development.
Bloomberg LP has committed a majority of its profits to support governments and vulnerable communities across the globe.
In 2022, they distributed $1.7 billion globally.
Antha Williams is in Nairobi for the Africa Climate Summit 2023.
The inaugural Africa Climate Summit, championed by HE President Ruto, aims to address the increasing exposure to climate change and its associated costs, both globally and particularly in Africa.
The Summit will serve as a platform to inform, frame, and influence commitments, pledges, and outcomes, ultimately leading to the development of the Nairobi Declaration.
