DP William Ruto was on Thursday afternoon forced to cut short his rally in Nairobi’s Burma Market after angry wananchi stormed the venue. Ruto was accompanied by ousted Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, Bishop Magaret Wanjiru and a host of Nairobi MPs leaning towards the newly launched UDA Party.

DP Ruto is on a charm offensive to firm his grip on the slippery Nairobi politics, against a joint Uhuru-Raila force. Pundits say, the DP has a herculean task as he tries to flip the city that has been traditionally under Raila Odinga and Uhuru Kenyata.
